Questions people ask
How much does junk removal cost?
Through TaskManor, $99–$149 for a small 1–3 item pickup, $279 for a quarter truckload, $479 for a half, and $849 for a full 16-cubic-yard truckload. Pricing is by volume, not per item: our AI sizes your load from photos or a short video and quotes a range of two adjacent load sizes. The final price is confirmed by your hauler in person and can’t exceed the top of your range without your approval.
How is junk removal priced?
By volume — how much of the truck your stuff fills — on a five-step scale from an ⅛ load ($149) to a full load ($849). Curbside pickups take 40% off the load price, and items with real disposal fees add flat surcharges: refrigerators +$85, mattresses +$60, TVs and e-waste +$40, tires +$20 each. The one exception is heavy material like concrete, dirt, or shingles, which is billed by weight at $0.15/lb plus a $149 haul base, using the actual dump-scale ticket.
How much does it cost to remove a couch?
A single couch usually falls in the small-load tier: quoted at $99–$149, with the exact price confirmed at pickup. If it’s already at the curb or driveway, curbside pricing takes 40% off the load price — about $59–$89. A large sectional, or a couch plus other furniture, can size into the ⅛–¼ truckload range at $149–$279.
Do I pay before or after pickup?
After. Booking places only a $45 hold on your card — that’s the no-show fee, not the job price. Your hauler confirms the exact load size at your door, you approve the final price, and only then are you charged. The price can’t go above your quoted ceiling without your explicit OK.
How much does an estate cleanout cost?
It depends on total volume, so cleanouts are quoted from a room-by-room walkthrough video: each area is sized on the truckload scale, summed, and quoted as a wider range to reflect what video can’t show. A garage clear-out sizing at a quarter-to-half truckload quotes around $237–$623, while a whole-home cleanout filling two trucks can quote roughly $1,154–$2,207. The top of your range is still a hard ceiling — the exact price is confirmed on-site before you’re charged.
What items won’t be taken?
Haulers on TaskManor can’t take paint or other liquids, chemicals, solvents, or oil, asbestos-, lead-, or mold-contaminated material, propane tanks, ammunition, or medical waste. For leftover paint, Colorado’s PaintCare program offers free drop-off locations. Refrigerators and freezers ARE accepted — they carry an $85 surcharge for proper refrigerant handling and disposal.
How does the photo and video quote work?
Enter your ZIP, then upload 2–8 photos of the pile — or, for a whole-space cleanout, a short walkthrough video of each area. The AI estimates the volume on the truckload scale, flags likely surcharge items, and asks you to confirm anything it can’t see, like stairs or items stacked behind other items. You get an itemized range in about a minute, with no in-person estimate to schedule.
